Tragic Electrocution in Lagos: Mother Battles for Life After Losing Two Children

In the Mushin area of Lagos State, an unidentified mother is fighting for her life after tragically losing two of her children to electrocution on Thursday. The incident occurred when the children, a 10-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, tried to turn on the television after returning from school.

Sources from the area revealed that the parents, possibly away or inside their home when the incident happened, were devastated upon learning about their children’s fate. The mother fainted and is currently hospitalized, battling for her life.

A resident named Toyosi described the incident as a terrible tragedy, recounting that the girl was electrocuted while attempting to switch on the TV, and the younger boy, unaware of what happened to his sister, touched her and also got electrocuted. They remained at the spot until the electricity was cut off, after which they collapsed. The mother is reportedly still in shock and unable to speak or cry when visited by people. She also has a third child she was breastfeeding when the tragic incident occurred.
